Book a spin-art session

Unleash your
inner artist.

Spin it. Pour it. Make it yours. Pick a date and a time, tell us how many of you there are, and we take care of the rest: paint, tools, aprons, an Art Master at your station and a piece to take home. Sessions run 60 minutes. No experience needed.

Three things to know

How to book.

01

Pick your day

We are open Thursday to Sunday. Whatever the calendar below shows as free, you can have.

02

Tell it how many

A station seats 4, so five of you means two of them and 32 of you means 8. Nobody has to do that arithmetic — put the number in and the booking sorts the room out.

03

Or just write to us

Some things the window cannot take: more than 32 of you, something out of the ordinary or a day we are closed. In any of those cases, ask us about a private event in Montréal and we will plan it with you.

This is the hour.

01

Arrive and get ready

Check in, leave your things, and put on an apron. Gloves are there if you want them.

02

Meet your Art Master

They bring you to the station, explain the machine, show you the tools and walk you through several techniques.

03

Practice without pressure

You start on a practice canvas. Test the colours, the speed and the movement until you know what you want to try for real.

04

Make the real one

A blank canvas arrives. Choose your colours, add the paint, change the movement, and make the piece yours.

05

Have fun with it

Try different techniques, change your mind, add one more colour. If you want photos of the session and the finished piece, we take them and email them to you. They stay yours.

06

Dry, drink and play

The wet piece goes into the drying oven for fifteen to twenty minutes. Order a drink or a bite, start a board game, and argue about whose came out best.

07

The reveal

Your Art Master brings the finished piece back, offers a last photo, and makes sure it is ready to travel home.

I had never painted anything before and this was an amazing experience and lots of fun. I definitely recommend it.

First time doing spin art. The instructor is very helpful, and goes through the whole process with you before you even start. Drinks and snacks are great. Definitely a must for anyone visiting Montreal.

So much fun! Really cute spot, my 5 YO and I had the best time. Easy to do, cute paintings and great drinks. The staff is super nice and welcoming.

Good questions

Before you book.

The things people ask us most, answered quickly.

What is ArtChaos?

ArtChaos is a social art studio and creative event venue in Montréal. Guests make Spin Art canvases, Fluid Toys and seasonal pour-art projects with simple guidance from our team.

What is Spin Art?

Spin Art uses a motorized platform that rotates a canvas. You apply paint while changing the speed and position, creating circular movement, layers and patterns that are difficult to reproduce twice.

What are Fluid Toys?

Fluid Toys are collectible figures decorated by pouring selected paint colours and optional glitter over the surface. Each pour creates a different pattern.

Do I need art experience?

No. There is no drawing requirement and no traditional painting class. The team explains the equipment and technique, then you choose the colours and make the piece your own.

How long does an experience take?

A regular session runs 60 minutes. Larger private group events can run for two to three hours.

What is included?

Paint, tools, protective equipment, use of the studio equipment, basic guidance and your finished creation are included unless a specific package states otherwise.
