GROUPS · MILE END

BRING EVERYONE.
NOBODY SITS OUT.

A colourful, highly social group activity where guests create, laugh, take photos and leave with a physical memory of the event.

Two guests at neighbouring spin art stations during a group event, more guests behindThe room is yours.

ARTCHAOS GROUP EVENTS

Easy to organize. Impossible to make identical.

ArtChaos hosts private and semi-private creative events in Montréal for corporate teams, birthdays, schools, camps, bachelorettes and groups of friends. We provide the paint, tools, protective equipment, setup, staff guidance and cleanup, while your guests choose the colours and make the moment their own.

No winner, no skill needed, nobody left out: some people paint, some talk, some eat and drink, and everyone leaves holding something. More than a hundred events so far.

Corporate painting events

Team building,
brush in hand.

A team building painting class, without the class. Twelve to fifty colleagues, a spin station each or a canvas shared by two or three, an Art Master running the room and a bar in it. Nobody presents, nobody is picked last, and the quiet ones usually win.

Corporate painting events here run as a private or semi-private studio: holiday parties, client evenings, onboarding days, the offsite that was going to be a restaurant again. The canvases go back to the office the same day.

How the day runs

What actually happens,
start to finish.

01

You arrive together

Coats and bags in one place, aprons on, and the room is yours to stand around in for a few minutes before anything starts.

02

One demonstration, everybody

An Art Master shows the whole room at once — the machine, the tools, two or three techniques. Nobody is taken aside and nobody is left behind.

03

Everyone starts at the same moment

Which is the whole point of doing it as a group: no queue, no audience, no one waiting their turn to be watched.

04

The food comes out while it dries

Pieces go into the drying oven and the bar is already in the same room — cocktails, beer, wine, mocktails and bites, ordered at the table or set out for the group. This is the part people stay for, and it is the reason the hour turns into an evening.

05

Everyone leaves holding theirs

Dry, wrapped if it needs it, and twenty different pieces out of twenty people who all did the same thing.

Food and drinks are ordered on the day or arranged in advance — tell us roughly what you want when you send your date.

Catering

Feed the room.

Food and drinks come from the bar in the same room: cocktails, beer, wine, the no-alcohol list and bites, ordered at the table on the day or set out for the group.

For a bigger table we put together a special group menu with our sister businesses, A/Maze and Brasserie Memento: platters, bites and a drinks package sized to the headcount. Tell us roughly what you want when you send your date and it comes back with the quote.

Good questions

Before you book.

The things people ask us most, answered quickly.

How many people can you host?

12–50 GUESTS. Above 32 of you the studio closes to everyone else, which is the private format.

How far ahead should we book?

As early as you can: weekend evenings and December go first. Send the date and the headcount and we confirm availability by email.

Is there a deposit? Can you invoice the company?

A deposit holds the date; the details come with the quote. Tell us in the request if the invoice should go to a company.

Does anyone need art experience or physical ability?

No. The machine does the difficult part. Everyone starts level and nobody is left out.

What if someone would rather not paint?

They stay at the table, eat and drink, and judge everyone else’s canvas. It happens every week.

Can we bring a cake or decorations?

Yes, both. Outside food and drinks otherwise stay outside: the bar is in the room.

Is alcohol served?

Yes, to guests of legal drinking age, from the bar in the same room. The no-alcohol list is as long.

What does everyone take home?

A canvas each, dry and wrapped the same day, or the piece the group made together.
